Flavour and aroma

HopSensation®

A blend of several hop oils put together to create a balanced profile for a specific beer style.

Caution

The stated values are indicative. Hop oils cannot be converted to pellets using a simple kilogram-to-millilitre ratio. The result is affected by the base beer, the original hopping, the timing of application, temperature, mixing intensity and the desired product character. Every new application should therefore first be confirmed on samples and only then scaled up to the full tank.

HopSensation®
A blend of several hop oils put together to create a balanced profile for a specific beer style. It replaces the complex work of combining several varieties and helps keep aroma and taste stable across production batches.
Use in: Ready-made beer style profile
Key benefits
  • a balanced profile without building your own blend
  • stable aroma and taste across batches
How to use
HopSensation® is best added after fermentation, while transferring, or directly into the bright tank. After application, gentle mixing must be ensured, and the beer should be left to settle for roughly 2–3 hours before sensory evaluation.
Manufacturer’s guideline dosing
Lighter beer styles typically need roughly 10–20 ml/hl, while IPA and strongly hopped styles need roughly 30–40 ml/hl.
ParameterValue
Lighter beer stylesroughly 10–20 ml/hl
IPA and strongly hopped stylesroughly 30–40 ml/hl
When to use HopSensation®
  • when developing a new beer with a predefined style
  • to replace or supplement dry hopping
  • to stabilise the result when pellet quality or availability varies
  • when the brewery does not want to combine several hop varieties itself
  • to quickly turn a base beer into several distinct variants
Recommendation
For 1,000 litres (10 hl) of NEIPA at a dose of 35 ml/hl: 35 ml/hl × 10 hl = 350 ml of HopSensation® NEIPA. The dose should be adjusted based on the original hopping and the desired intensity of the resulting profile.
