HopBurst®

A natural hop extract that preserves the aromatic profile of a specific hop variety.

Caution

The stated values are indicative. Hop oils cannot be converted to pellets using a simple kilogram-to-millilitre ratio. The result is affected by the base beer, the original hopping, the timing of application, temperature, mixing intensity and the desired product character. Every new application should therefore first be confirmed on samples and only then scaled up to the full tank.

HopBurst®

How to use

HopBurst® can be added during fermentation, while transferring, or directly into the bright tank. When applied to finished beer, even mixing must be ensured and oxygen exposure minimised. The product can be used on its own or together with a smaller dose of hop pellets — the combination often preserves the complexity of classic dry hopping while still reducing beer losses.

Manufacturer’s guideline dosing

Trials are recommended to start at around 10 ml/hl; depending on the variety and desired intensity, the dose typically falls between 5–25 ml/hl.

When to use HopBurst®

during fermentation, to tie the aroma to the fermentation profile

Recommendation

For 1,000 litres (10 hl) of beer at a starting dose of 10 ml/hl: 10 ml/hl × 10 hl = 100 ml of HopBurst®. It is recommended to prepare several samples, for example 5, 10 and 15 ml/hl, and pick the dose based on the sensory result.
